Sacrifice - Our Lord's Example

As I ponder ways of promoting Escape the Hezbollah I realize I don't have a fantastic budget so I will have to rearrange my priorities and sacrifice in many areas in order to accomplish this -- to let others know about ETH. Then I think of our Lord and how He sacrificed His very life for us. Our lives are a moment in time, but His love is forever.
He set an example for us of what it takes to accomplish something vital. Sacrifice! He knows us -- that our best is like filthy rags. So He had to go beyond what we could do to bring His beloved (us) to Him. There are joys that come with the victory of sacrifice, but sometimes we have to wait for those joys to be realized.
Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen and the conviction of it's reality. (I'm paraphrasing here but I believe it's close to the Amplified version). In other words, we sacrifice because we have faith in something. I worked hard on ETH (sacrificed) so you would know something about Islam and some of the difficulties people face who are not privy to the truth about Jesus Christ.
Think about what you've sacrificed lately. I'm going to start thinking about this daily. I've just come to understand that tidbit. So I plug on, working toward a goal in hopes of bringing Him glory.
That's all I've got today. Write me. I'd love to hear from you.
Be blessed,
Pola
