His Plans for Us are Perfect

A quote from the editor of ETH:
Pola’s book is great ... What an intense story! People in this country are so complacent and take for granted their freedoms and especially freedom to worship. It’s hard to believe in the 21st century there is still a huge amount of persecution around the world. --Susanne Lakin, author, editor
In Escape the Hezbollah Joseph Rabbani goes to the edge a lot. He tries to reason out and understand why God has abandoned him. He puts the blame on himself, his father, Iran, and even his friends. He questions why God allows the things He allows. Joseph wants to abandon God in retaliation but something deep inside him tells him that God is still there.
Isn't life that way? We get wrapped up in the now, the me, the I -- we arrogantly think that we are a victim just because things aren't going our way as perfectly as we would expect. But God is so loving that he doesn't cater to our every whim. He allows others free will and sometimes their free will interferes with our plans (whims). In the end when life is about to cave in on us, God lovingly reaches in and pulls us through. In Ecclesiastes it says that the end of a matter is better than its beginning. Sometimes we need to remember that the end is coming and things will work out. So, we should hang in there and enjoy the people and some parts of the events along the way to reaching our goals or being rescued from our problems.
In conclusion we need to see the good in whatever we think is bad and rejoice in knowing that we have a God who will never abandon us.
Hebrews 13:5
... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Isaiah 43:2
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
That's all I have today.
Blessings,
Pola
