Facing Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is not an excuse for problems caused by our poor choices or inability to act on things we know we should act on. But when we've done everything right and we are facing difficulty that doesn't make sense, we are confronting spiritual warfare. That's when we feel helpless. This type of warfare is very real, with seemingly irrational events trying to turn our world upside down. It usually occurs when we are near a breakthrough or turning point.
Escape the Hezbollah was written in spite of the spiritual warfare surrounding me. In the Bahamas this prophecy was spoken over me: 'millions of people will come to know the Lord through you that will not come any other way'. That was before I even knew what Christians were going through in Iran. I figured that meant I had a responsibility, but I didn't know how it was going to happen. I had started the interviews but I was not fully committed and had not completed the research yet. A friend prompted me to go ahead and write the book as fiction inspired by the truth. I had a lull in my script writing, so since I love writing drama I put my notes together and sat down to try to make some sense of them. I started praying––then I wrote an outline––then I expanded the outline.
When we have inexplainable warfare it is because we are a threat to darkness. God promises to sustain us and care for us during these time. Sometimes we get near the edge but He never fails us. We will accomplish His calling for us with His help. He is faithful and when He begins a work in us He does complete it.
Did God trust you with a calling that you're having a hard time completing because of spiritual warfare? My recommendation is to stop, take a deep breath and pray. Then praise Him for the solution and the help He gives you. Let me know how you're doing.
Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
That's all I have for today.
