Give it Over To Him

In Escape the Hezbollah, Joseph had faith that he would somehow get out. He had faith in his own desire to get himself out no matter what it took. He forgot to have faith in God. Whenever anything went wrong he assumed God was not with him. He was sure God left him, particularly when he chose to conform to what he knew was wrong in order to carry out his own will (to save himself and warn his fiancée).
Hebrews 11:1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
If we put our lives in God's hands, we leave ourselves open for Him to bless us. We do not close the door to the possibility that He will bless us even if we don't see a way. In fact it's in those times when God can and does bless his people. Since God has given us free will, by giving our will to Him, we give Him permission.
God makes a way where there seems to be no way if we allow His will to be done -- we need to keep that in mind. His will. That's where we need to put our will -- we need to give our will over completely to His will. How do we know His will in a given situation? We can know His will by knowing His word.
So, when do we close the door to God's will? Never! When do we decide that He made up His mind to not give us the desires of our heart? Never.
God sometimes gives us in a single moment what He has denied us for a long time -- when the time is right, our hearts are right with Him, and when we have given our will to Him, we open the door for it to happen.
That's all I've got for now.
Blessings,
Pola
